They call me the Jane of All Trades, Mistress of Art! A professional bellydance/flamenco dancer & performer, I've always maintained traditional art forms (i.e. ink, sketching, painting & my favorite, tattoo artistry!), some of which are shown in certain galleries, or worn on folks' skin forever!
After completing a 2-year apprenticeship in Sutton, WV (1999-2000), I continued to learn from some of the very best tattoo artists in the country, finally opening my own tiny shop in Louisiana in 2003. All was great until Katrina... she wiped us ALL out, no proof that we ever existed! So....
Returning to the world of "Inkology" to gain some more experience in the art of the tattoo - I intend to specialize in such tattoo art forms as traditional Maori tatau, performed with an original "au"; Lowrider art & ink (I definitely need practice & advice on that one!); & possibly Aztec art & Inking on super-dark skin (my idea here is to perfect a new technique of making tattoos POP on darker skin, a difficult - to me - thing!).
I love and appreciate any and all advice, as well as FRIENDLY criticism. The best thing about art in itself is the amazingly wide range of artists and forms - we're all so very unique, and that is why we make the world a far more beautiful place!
